Wellness Programs

Many chronic diseases – such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes, which are the leading causes of death in the United States – can be prevented or controlled. Obesity affects two-thirds of our national population. Approximately one out of 10 people goes hungry. Millions struggle with eating disorders. The elderly face challenges of food safety. Clearly, nutrition and food are vital issues to our wellness.

Through our wellness programming in businesses, schools and the community, the Nutrition Center strives to promote positive eating practices as part of a healthful lifestyle and as a way to prevent disease.
