Worksite/Corporate Wellness Nutrition Services

We have developed and implemented a corporate wellness program for a Fortune 500 company. With a goal of increasing motivation and promoting health among an at-risk group of employees, we provided one-on-one nutrition counseling via phone, which was tailored to client's areas of interest to support weight reduction and healthful lifestyle change. We provided consultant services to build health-promoting work environments. These services include food service audits, newsletters, recipes, nutrition resource lists, and recommendations upon request on a variety of wellness issues.

We are using innovative techniques to promote new approaches to worksite wellness and workstation design through our work on a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health-funded grant. Targeting office employees, our group interventions are interactive and designed to flow with the participants' needs and interests.  The non-intervention group follows the same topics in a thought-provoking newsletter.

Backed by practical as well as clinical experience, we offer the following worksite wellness services.

Workplace Consultation Services

Employees who work in an environment that supports a healthly lifestyle are more likely to adopt healthful behaviors that positively impact corporate well-being. If a business or organization is interseted, we can provide worksite service such as:

  • Initial workplace wellness evaluation (i.e. food service operations, vending, existing wellness resources)
  • Recommendations for workplace enhancement
  • Implementation of requested services, which may include classes or counseling

Nutrition Classes

Each session focuses on cutting-edge information combined with "real life" application. Interactive discussions, food demonstrations and motivation enhancements are features of these classes. Classes are conducted on-site at convenient times for employees. Companies can choose to offer individual classes or opt to offer a class series where each class builds upon the next. Class topics include:

  • Risk factor management
  • Weight management
  • Translating nutrition recommendations into real life

One-on-One Nutrition Counseling Services

A registered dietitian works with employees to provide information, resources and support needed to make long-term changes in eating patterns. This is an individualized program designed to be tailored to each employee's unique needs and interests. Arrangements can be made to provide on-site dietitian services in half-day or whole-day blocks. Telephonic counseling services can also be provided.
